DC Budgam reviews biometric coverage under Aadhar

Deputy Commissioner Budgam, Mir Altaf Ahmad, today convened a meeting to review arrangements being put in place for biometric coverage of population under Aadhar scheduled to start soon in the district.ACR Budgam, Tehsildars, representatives of Vendor agency, and other concerned attended the meeting.The meeting was informed that 86.95 percent of population has been enrolled under Aadhar and 70 percent of Aadhaar cards have been generated upto October25, 2016 in the district.On the occasion, the DDC enjoined upon Tehsildars to implement the action plan already formulated in letter and spirit. It was decided that the vendor shall deploy human resource with requisite paraphernalia at all Tehsil Headquarters and at Niabats or at well publicized locations in each Tehsil.The DDC stressed for coverage of those areas on priority where enrollment percentage is relatively less for convenience of people living in these areas.
