Commissioner SMC reviews snow clearance arrangements

Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Dr Farooq Ahmad Lone who is also holding the charge of Commissioner Srinagar Municipal Corporation today convened a meeting of Municipal officers and Ward Officers to review the arrangements put in place for snow clearance in view of weather forecast.Dr. Lone directed the concerned to keep men and machinery ready so that snow is cleared from the main roads, lanes and bi-lanes. He asked them to clear roads leading to Hospitals, Masjids, Shrines, Fire Stations, Ration Depots on priority.The meeting was informed that Srinagar City has been divided in four zones and accordingly officers were nominated to monitor the process of snow clearance.It was given out that people can register their complaints if any on Control Room Nos: 0194-2474499, (toll free – 18001807038).
