AAP calls Sukhbir Badal a ‘headless machine’ who has no concern with the plight of people

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) today reacted sharply to accusations by SAD President and Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal that AAP was behind any kind of violence particularly the stone throwing on him and shoe hurled on his father by a Sikh agitated over incidents of sacrilege of Guru Granth Sahib.AAP state convener Gurpreet Singh Waraich in a statement said that Sukhbir Badal was a ‘headless machine’ who has no concerns with the plight of people and have no social and political morals in life. “Sukhbir Badal’s only aim of life is to hoodwink people to make money and fulfill his lust of power by hook or crook”.Waraich while referring to a TV interview by Sukhbir Badal in which he had linked AAP with radicals, said that Sukhbir Badal should introspect history of his family and his party before blaming others. He said that Sukhbir Badal was not in sound state of mind due to imminent defeat he has been anticipating in the 2017 assembly elections.
AAP convener said that Shiromani Akali Dal had provoked the Sikh youth to go violent during ‘Dharam Yudh Morcha’ in the name of Panth and later betrayed the youth to grab power.
He said that thousands of innocent Sikh youth were killed during dark decade of militancy due to Badal family’s lust of power. He alleged that Sukhbir Badal patronized some sections of radicals to polarize Sikh votes and garner votes. He registered false cases against his critics among the radicals..Waraich said that Harsimrat Kaur Badal and Sukhbir Badal both have issued threats of violent reaction to incidents of stone and shoe throwing whereas there was such provocation by AAP. Neither the people involved in such incidents anyway linked with AAP. “We believe in democracy and denounce violence of any kind”. He said that it could be game plan of Badal family to disturb the elections but he would not be able to intimidate people this time. “It is an upsurge against Badal family and any attempt to entice violence will backfire”, warns Waraich.He said that Badal family was facing ire of public due to open loot of state’s resources and pushing state into an economic mess. People of state were well aware about who patronized the drug and mining mafia in Punjab and who are the persons shielding criminal gangs.
He said that Sukhbir Badal had run the government as private firm of his family. The name of Badal family would be read as epitome of corruption in the history of Punjab, stated.Waraich stated that Sukhbir Badal denigrated the institution of democracy by encouraging defections, threatening the elected representatives of people and attempting to grab Panchayati Raj institutions by denying the right of self governance to people granted by 73rd amendment in the Constitution of India AAP leader alleged that Sukhbir Badal had masterminded the sacrilege of Guru Granth Sahib and Quran Sharif to strike communal divide and tried to link up AAP with the these incidents but the main accused Vijay Kumar named by Police in the FIR had blamed Police for pressurizing him to name AAP Delhi MLA. He said that people of Punjab want to know why no culprit of sacrilege incidents had been arrested. He said that Guru Granth Sahib had gone missing from Gurdwara in Bargari and till date it is not traced. There is no clue which police man killed two Sikhs in Behbal Kalan during a protest against desecration of Guru Granth Sahib.Waraich told Sukhbir, “You can fool some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time, but you cannot fool all of the people all of the time”.
