Dubbing his tall claims as nothing but the frustrated rants of a loser desperately trying to sneak into Punjab through the back door, Punjab Congress president Captain Amarinder Singh on Thursday once again dared AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal to fight him from any seat in the state if he was so confident of victory.Captain Amarinder was responding to a tweet from Kejriwal saying that he (Captain) would lose in his own constituency since there was huge public support for AAP.Kejriwal was clearly suffering from delusional dreams, which would soon turn into a nightmare and which had no connect whatsoever with the ground realities in Punjab, which would never tolerate, leave alone support, a Haryanvi, said Captain Amarinder.“A brief, whirlwind tour of my constituency is hardly a yardstick for you to measure the public support. If you really want to test your mettle come and contest against me. I will fight you wherever you choose to contest from and show you who has the support,” said Captain Amarinder.Pointing out that Kejriwal’s desperation was showing through every statement he and his party colleagues were making in Punjab, Captain Amarinder said his ugly and nefarious designs had already been exposed and the people of the state did not have an iota of faith in his commitment towards them.
Citing the recent statement of AAP leader Manish Sisodia projecting Kejriwal as the chief ministerial candidate for the state in the coming assembly elections, Captain Amarinder challenged the AAP national convenor to fight openly and win instead of trying to grab the chief minister chair in such a shady manner.Dismissing AAP’s claim that Sisodia’s statement had been misinterpreted, Captain Amarinder said the Kejriwal’s gameplan was backfiring on him, prompting the party to issue a denial. The fact, however, was that Kejriwal had always had his eyes on the CM post in Punjab, which was a much bigger and full state compared with Delhi, where he was finding it difficult to achieve his selfish and despicable objectives. The Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) president asserted that Kejriwal’s grandiose and contemptible plans for Punjab would never fructify as the people of the state would not accept an outsider ruling them.
