NSUI highlighted common man's sufferings after concluding massive social movement on demonitisation

Highlighting common man's sufferings due to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's decision of demonetisation, the National Students' Union of India (NSUI) today held a press conference at Jammu.Addressing the press conference Neeraj Kundan State President NSUI Jammu Kashmir said that since 5th of January to 8th of January, NSUI had conducted a massive social movement throughout the State highlighting the “sufferings” of the common people due to the  demonetisation move. NSUI team have covered hundreds of ATM as of part of a survey throughout the state as assisted by  Hasiba Amin  National General Secretary NSUI  Incharge J&K NSUI. Under the survey, various segments of NSUI team approached with common masses along questionnaire related to the impact of Demonetisation.Kundan added “PM Modi has battered India’s economy and it will be difficult to regain India’s growth and has put the entire nation into misery and also pushed back the country's economy by a decade in just few days” .

While Mounting an attack on the BJP government,  Kundan blamed  that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has brought entire country to a standstill with a single disastrous decision.Taking a jibe on BJP for emphasizing cashless transaction and lack of coordination between banks and the government, Kundan said that the petrol bunks across the country have stop accepting debit cards and credit cards for filling fuel as banks will now debit a Merchant Discount Rate of 1 per cent from petroleum dealers.He added that almost 97% of Demonetized Notes deposited back in banks but none found black, this is a huge political and economic defeat for a government that pledged not only to reduce corruption, but bring back the substantial amounts of the black money.Kundan said that around 1200 crore in due owned by Vijay Mallya has been waived off, he demanded that instead of gracing on the industrialists, gracing must be acted on students as well as farmers loan.In the press conference Kundan was accompanied by Raqeeq Khan and Amjad Bhat State Vice Presidents NSUI, Ajay Kumar National Delegate NSUI,  Avijot Singh State General Secretary NSUI, Mehran Anjum State Secretary NSUI, Sunny Parihar NSUI District President Jammu and Puneet Singh.
