On the eve of Sri Gobind Singh's 350th birth anniversary, the Badals have ironically embraced Patitpuna (heresy) as official policy of their party by fielding Gen JJ Singh as a candidate, SADD chief Paramjit Singh Sarna observed today. He demanded an answer from the DSGMC's suited-booted president and from the SGPC to their bosses' nomination of a general, who has shed Guru Sahib's proud emblem of unshorn beard."He might be a great general but certainly not worthy of being a candidate of a party that controls the DSGMC and the SGPC and claims to be a custodian of Sikh heritage," said S. Sarna. "By naming him as their official candidate, the Badals have established beyond doubt they are running a Kali Dal and are not remotely linked to the sublime Akali spirit."The SADD president vowed to launch a massive campaign to expose the hollowness and hypocrisy of the Badals and their planted stooges in the DSGMC and the SGPC."Where is the suited-booted president of the DSGMC? Where is the SGPC? Where are the jathedars? At the drop of a hat, they would go after filmmakers for any wrongful depiction of Sikh characters in movies. Where have they vanished now when their own master has nominated an apostate as a party candidate?" he asked.
