8-years old Asian Boxing Champion Tajamul (Kashmiri Girl) visits Aryans Group, Chandigarh

Tajamul Islam, eight year old Kashmiri girl of Bandipora district in Jammu and Kashmir who has won Gold Medal at World Kickboxing Championship in Italy today visited Aryans Group of Colleges, Chandigarh. She was honoured by the management of Aryans for bringing laurels to the Country.It is to be mentioned that Tajamul was given a Cash Prize of Rs 11,000 as the pocket money recently. Aryans has also offered 100% scholarship against tuition fee for pursuing any Course at Aryans after her Matriculation.Tajamul who has made India proud by becoming the first player ever from the sub-junior category to clinch a gold medal has been invited by the Home Minister, Sh. Rajnath Singh on 9th January. She has already met Mehbooba Mufti Sayeed, Chief Minister of JK; Sh. Narinder Nath Vohra, Hon’ble Governor of JK; Sh. Lalu Prasad Yadav, Former Chief Minister of Bihar; General Dalbir Singh Suhag, Ex-Indian Army Chief  etc.Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group said that Aryans has become a popular destination and 1st choice for the Kashmiri Students near Chandigarh. Around 1400 JK students are pursuing their higher education at Aryans who are ambitious in Studies, Sports, Innovations etc in one or other way. Hosting an Asian champion of boxing at Aryans would be a matter of proud & learning for other JK students also.While interacting Tajamul said that it was nice visiting Punjab. She said, “I am thankful to Aryans Group of Colleges, Chandigarh for offering me free education after my matriculation.” She said that she was happy to see the beautiful campus and would love to even pursue the sports training in Chandigarh Periphery.Tajamul, hailing from Tarkpora village of Bandipora, 65kms from Srinagar, is now a hero in her village and school — Army Goodwill School, Bandipora.  Islam's father, Ghulam Mohammad is a driver by profession.
