Union Minister and Punjab BJP president, Vijay Sampla today launched the second phase of the Vijay Sankalp Rath Yatra after paying obeisance at Shri Kesargarh Sahib. The Yatra was given a grand welcome at Guru Ravidass Chowk, Ganguwal, Dher, Bhanupalli, Brahmpur, Nangal Railway Road and Truck Union Chowk in Shri Anandpur Sahib. The leaders aboard the Rath were showered upon by flowers by thousands of party workers and supporters as the cavalcade of workers atop motorcycles and cars marched ahead raising slogans. Addressing a huge public gathering in Shri Anandpur Sahib, Vijay Sampla said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Punjab’s Akali-BJP government had initiated a wave of development and it will continue unhindered.  Greeting people on the occasion of 350th Prakash Parv of tenth Sikh Guru, Shri Guru Gobind Singh ji Sampla said that the Union government had granted a fund of Rs. 100 crores to celebrate the birth anniversary. He said that the Punjab government too had made special arrangements for the Sangat planning to visit Takht Shri Patna Sahib adding that the BJP was celebrating the 350th Prakash Parv of Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji with fervor across the country. Sampla said, “In the year 1999, the tri-centenary celebrations of the birth of the Khalsa panth were held and the then prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and the then Punjab CM, Parkash Singh Badal together started the construction of the Virasat-e-Khalsa project in Shri Anandpur Sahib.  The second phase of the Virasat-e-Khalsa was also completed and dedicated to the community by CM Badal and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.  The Akali-BJP government carried out the construction of Shri Darbar Sahib Plaza, heritage restoration in Amritsar, Small and Big Ghallughara memorials, Banda Singh Bahadur memorial at Chappar Chiri and the Jang-e-Azaadi memorial. 

Besides, Bhagwan Valmiki Ji temple in Ramtirath, Amritsar and Guru Ravidass Ji temple in Khuralgarh too have been renovated”. Lauding PM Modi, Sampla said that the Union government had taken historic and brave decisions under his leadership. “The Centre government brought in progressive policies and the state’s Akali-BJP coalition government has carried out developmental works. Hence only the Akali-BJP combine has the right to seek votes from voters of Punjab”, he said. Slamming PPCC chief, Capt. Amarinder Singh, Sampla said, “He has no time to meet the people of his state but he does have ample time to meet his friends across the border". “AAP lacks vision and it is a party of lecherous, addicts and greedy people”, he added.Welcoming the Supreme Court ruling barring use of religion for political gains, Sampla however said that religion and politics are inseparable though endorsing that politics should not be played over faith. He said, “According to Sikh philosophy, religion can’t exist without politics and without religion all are non-existential. Our Guru Sahiban have given us the concept of Miri and Piri”.  Punjab BJP organizational general secretary Dinesh Kumar, Cabinet Minister Madan Mohan Mittal, state party vice-president Iqbal Singh Lalpura, state general secretaries Manjit Singh Rai and Jeevan Gupta, state party secretaries Vineet Joshi and Vijay Puri, Forest Developmental Corporation chairperson Reena Jaitley, district president Yogesh Sood, Improvement Trust chairman Dr. Ishwar Sardana, Punjab BJYM president Shivbir Singh Rajan, state general secretary Amit Sampla, former president of BJP state Kisan Morcha Jatinder Singh Athwal and former chariman of Nangal Municipal Council Rajesh Chowdhary were also present during the Vijay Sankalp Rath Yatra.
