Calendar “Palki Sahib” By Lawyer Harpreet Sandhu Released Today

Calendar Dedicated To 350th Birth Anniversary Celebrations Of Guru Gobind Singh Ji

The calendar “Palki Sahib” 2017, that has been dedicated to the 350th Birth Anniversary celebrations of Guru Gobind Singh Ji, by noted Lawyer and former Additional Advocate General Punjab government Mr Harpreet Sandhu was released at a function held at Mata Ganga Ji Hall, Gurudwara Sri Singh Sabha, Sarabha Nagar, here today. The calendar was released by noted economist, Chancellor Central University of Punjab and Padma Bhushan Dr SS Johl, Noted Punjabi Poet and Padmashri Dr Surjit Patar, Deputy Commissioner Kapurthala Mr Gurlovleen Singh Sidhu, District & Sessions Judge Ropar Mr BS Sandhu, ADC Dr Rishi Pal Singh, eminent industrialist Mr Ranjodh Singh, Dr Baldev Singh Aulakh, Punjabi poet Prof Gurbhajan Gill, former Estate Officer PAU Mr TS Sandhu and other eminent personalities.

This calendar having theme “Visual Images of Sri Palki Sahib” is a collection of photographs of Sri Palki Sahib by Mr Harpreet Sandhu.The calendar refers the “Mool Mantar” on the  photographs of Palki Sahib clicked in year 2016 during his visits to Zanzibar – Tanzania (Kenya), Gurudwara Fatehgarh Sahib, Gurudwara Nadha Sahib, Panchkula, Gurudwara Bangla Sahib, New Delhi, Gurudwara Jyoti Saroop, Fatehgarh Sahib, Gurudwara Sec – 8 Chandigarh, Gurdwara Kandh Sahib, Batala, Gurudwara Kesgarh Sahib, Anandpur Sahib, Gurudwara Makindu Sahib, Kenya, Gurudwara Patshahi Chevi, Ludhiana, Palki Sahib- Sri Akal Takhat Sahib, Amritsar, Gurdwara Harmandir Sahib, Amritsar and Palki Sahib home.Mr Harpreet Sandhu said that this would be his first such initiative, with his earlier ones being books on legal comparative studies of different nations such as European and African countries, that have been well received across the globe. 

He also thanked eminent photoartist Mr TPS Sandhu for his valuable suggestions that made this project a success.The eternal Guru, Sri Guru Granth Sahib is an invaluable gift of the lord God for overall welfare of humanity and Guru Granth Sahib is placed on Manji Sahib – a raised platform covered by Palki Sahib, where Shri Guru Granth Sahib Ji is covered by a piece of beautiful Rumalla supported by small pillows. On the top of Palki Sahib is engraved “Ik Onkar”, “Waheguru” or “Gur Parsad”.Mr Harpreet Sandhu said, “I wish to thank Waheguru Ji for giving me the strength to begin and accomplish this mammoth venture and further pray to further enlighten me for similar ventures. I would like to conclude with re-iteration of the commitment that I will continue to further capture the Sikh religion symbols, depicting the value within the community.”Prominent among those present on the occasion included Mr Mohinderjit Singh Gill, Dr Vivek Saggar, Dr SS Thind, Mr Balkar Singh Brar, Mr Ankur Patar, besides several others.
