Chowdhary Zulfkar Ali reviews stock, supply position of essentials in Kashmir division

Minister for Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs (FCS&CA), Chowdhary Zulfkar Ali has directed the FCS&CA Department to ensure adequate stocks of ration to all areas of the Kashmir division and timely distribution of the same.Chairing a meeting of FCS&CA convened to review the stock and supply position of essential commodities in Kashmir, the Minister instructed the concerned officers for lifting stock of food-grains forthwith for distribution at the sale outlets. The Minister also took stock of the availability of LPG cylinders and other petroleum products in the valley and directed the concerned to dump sufficient stock of the same so that there is no shortage of fuel and LPG cylinders.Minister impressed upon the officers to work with added zeal and dedication to ensure effective and efficient public delivery system and streamlining of the department. He enjoined upon them to be at the beck call of the public and redress their grievance in time bound manner.

While reviewing the status of preparation of Ration Cards, the Minister instructed the concerned to complete the process by the end of this month. He also called for intensifying market checking and availability of essential commodities in the market so that people do not suffer for want of essentials.During the meeting functioning of Legal Metrology Department was also discussed.Earlier, the Director FCS&CA, Tasaduq Jeelani gave brief account of stock and supply position of essential commodities in the Valley, he informed the Minister that sufficient stock of ration has been dispatched to all districts of the valley, besides to far-flung areas including Machil, Keran, Karna and Gurez Kashmir.Officers of FCS& CA, besides representatives of various LPG and Oil Companies attended the meeting.
