Jashne-Milad-un-Nabi (SAW) Saqafati Mehfil was organized by the Harmukh Kashir Markaz Jammu and Kashmir in collaboration with Radio Kashmir Srinagar and district administration Budgam on Monday here at Sheikh-ul-Alam (RA) Conference Hall, Budgam.Minister for Agriculture, Ghulam Nabi Lone Hanjura was the Chief Guest on the occasion.The Conference was attended by the District Development Commissioner, Budgam Mir Altaf Ahmad, SSP Budgam Abdul Waheed Shah, Director Radio Kashmir, Syed Humayun Qaiser, prominent citizens, writers, poets and religious scholars including Mr Shahid Budgami.Speaking on the occasion, the Agriculture Minister said many prominent poets including Maqbool Shah Kralwari, Abdul Haq Azad and Moti Lal Saqi hailed from district Budgam who made a name in Kashmiri spiritual poetry.  He lauded the organizers for organizing the conference and assured them of full support by the Government. He asked them to organize such programmes in future also adding that such events provide opportunities to the young generation to learn religious poetry.District Development Commissioner, Budgam and other prominent scholars also spoke on the occasion and highlighted the importance of the life and teachings of Prophet Mohammad (SAW).
