In-Charge of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab and National Spokesman of the party, Sanjay Singh today said that business community is the back-bone of economy & communal harmony of Punjab and once voted to power, AAP would provide business-friendly atmosphere in the state. “Without the participation of business community, Punjab cannot progress as they contribute a lot for the overall development of the state through paying taxes to run welfare schemes for poor. Previous governments of Congress and SAD-BJP always ignored the interests of business community and rather looted them to make it difficult to run their businesses”, Sanjay Singh said. Once AAP is voted to power, social security of the taxpayer business community would be ensured and to give prompt clearance to new business houses, Single Window system would be launch to cut red-tapism and Inspector Raj would be abolished, he added. Singh revealed that in Delhi Kejriwal Government has reduced Value Added Tax (VAT) from 12.5 to 5% on several items and that was done without asking for it by the concerned traders.

“In spite of steep reduction of the VAT, revenue collection of the state was not adversely affected as people happily paid their due cases”, he said adding that on the same pattern, VAT in Punjab would also be reduced. “Efforts would be made to revive the sick industry and bring back the industrial units, which were shifted from Punjab by extending them the deserving support”, Sanjay Singh said adding that like it was done in Delhi, power tariff would be reduced for both domestic and commercial sectors. “In the current regime, it is virtually ‘Mafia Rule’ which is prevailing in the state and there is an open loot of natural resources of Punjab which can be evident of large scale of illegal mining”, he said assuring that these mining contracts would be withdrawn from Akalis and same would be allotted to the unemployed youth.Raising the issue of Demonetisation, Sanjay Singh said that it was a conspiracy to snatch money from poor to benefit big industrial houses by waiving off their corporate loans. “Instead of bringing back the black money stashed in foreign banks, PM Modi forced the common man to stand in queue to withdraw their own money”, he said adding that why black money of politicians like Captain Amarinder Singh, who stashed huge amount in Swiss bank, was not brought back, in spite of having complete information of the accounts of Amarinder and his family?
