Deputy Speaker, Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly, Nazir Ahmad Gurezi today visited various areas of Gurez Constituency and took stock of ongoing developmental works.During his visit, the Deputy Speaker inspected various developmental works and directed the concerned to expedite all works.The Deputy Speaker inaugurated power stations at Chaki Bayat and Sudi Kilshay villages. He also announced Rs 5 lakh from Constituency Development Fund (CDF) for augmenting financial requirement of these projects.Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Speaker said that extension of power supply to Chaki Bayat and Sudi Kilshay was a long pending demand of the people which has been fulfilled.Earlier, Gurezi chaired a meeting with prominent citizens of Gurez Constituency to receive first hand appraisal of the issues and grievances confronted by them.The Deputy Speaker gave patient hearing to all the issues and grievances and assured that their demands would be looked into. He said that the district administration Bandipora has already been given directions to ensure adequate supply of ration, water and power besides healthcare facilities to the people in view of harsh winter season.
