Kavinder Gupta chairs inter-departmental meeting

To prevent damages in the wake of rains,  Speaker J&K Legislative Assembly, Kavinder Gupta today convened a meeting of various departments regarding construction of drainage  Nallahs from Bilal Colony to Pamposh Colony and others in his constituency.The meeting was attended by Commissioner Jammu Municipal Corporation, Manmohan Singh, Executive Engineer JMC, Prabodh Sharma, Executive Engineer Urban Environmental Engineering Department (UEED),  Rajan Sharma and other officers of JMC.While chairing the meeting, Speaker directed the concerned departments to improve drainage system so as to prevent damages during rains. He also stressed on removing encroachments on the sides of Nallahas which often cause water to overflow while creating flood like situation.  He also said there should be no compromise in the quality of work.
