Says Govt paying focused attention to strengthen road infra

Fast pacing the process of  infrastructural development in Raipur-Domana constituency, Minister for Health & Medical Education, Bali Bhagat today kick-started the blacktopping work of double lane Roop Nagar-Muthi road.To be completed at an estimated cost of Rs 78 lakh, the 2-kilometer important road stretch will connect Roop Nagar with Akhnoor road at Muthi and fulfilling a long pending demand of the locals.Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that road connectivity is key to the development and welfare of the society and Government has been paying focused attention to further strengthen this vital sector across the State. He said over one hundred kilometers of link roads in Raipur-Domana have been blacktopped during the past one year and tender process for all remaining roads has been completed and would be taken up in a phased manner.

Lamenting the lackluster approach of the previous governments, the Minister said that this important constituency remained neglected on all fronts for over seven decades and people will see a substantial change on ground during the coming months. He urged the people to actively partake in the development process and help the government in ensuring all round development of the constituency. He also directed the engineers to maintain the quality of work strictly as per the existing norms.The members of the Lower Roop Nagar Welfare Association welcomed the Minister and expressed gratitude for fulfilling their long pending demand of blacktopping the road. They also presented a memorandum of other demands of the locality like improvement of lanes, drains and drinking water supply to the Minister and requested for attending these on priority.BJP District President (Rural), Omi Khajuria, several prominent citizens of the area and Engineers of JDA were present on the occasion.
