The Finance Minister, Punjab, Parminder Singh Dhindsa here today in sector-33 A inaugurated ‘Vit-Te-Yojna’Bhawan. The new building would see the 11 departments connected with finance and planning come under one roof which are now functioning from various places in Chandigarh and Mohali.On the occasion, the Finance Minister said that this building constructed at a cost of Rs. 58.15 crore in 1.73 acre area is fully air conditioned. He said that the working of all the departments under a single roof would bring further improvements in the functioning besides helping the common people avail the government services in an easy manner.  He also said that the Punjab Government under the leadership of Chief Minister, S. Parkash Singh Badal and Deputy Chief Minister, S. Sukhbir Singh Badal has brought revolutionary transformation in the infrastructural sector. Divulging more, he said that the Chief Minister, S. Badal had laid the foundation stone of this bhawan on 7th July, 2014.

Disclosing on the occasion, Principal Secretary, Planning, Mrs. Anjali Bhawra said that this building consists of 2 blocks. ‘A’ block has 6 floors while the ‘B’ block has 2 floors. The main among the departments shifting here include treasury, account, planning, lottery, small savings, and new pension scheme. She also said that apart from the branches of all the departments, this building includes offices of the Finance Minister, Principal Secretary Finance and Planning. Also, the committee rooms for meeting purposes have been constructed. A total of 640 officers and employees would sit in the building which also has an arrangement for parking of 200 cars.The Director (Planning) Mr. Balwant Singh thanked the Finance Minister for making stupendous efforts to get this building completed in a record time.
