AAP condemned MC Commissioner’s transfer

AAP Ludhiana West Candidate Ahbaab Singh Grewal and Ludhiana Zone Observor Darshan Singh Shankar today in a statement  condemned the Shiromani Akali Dal-Bharatiya Janta Party government's decision to transfer a lady IAS officer because she performed her duty in an unbiased and fair manner. The AAP leaders said that the IAS officer, who was posted as Commissioner, Municipal Corporation Ludhiana, was transferred after she refused to budge under the political pressure of Akali leaders, who tried to arm-twist her for getting their illegal works done. The leaders urged the Election Commission of India to take strong notice of this development and impose model code of conduct at the earliest so that the Assembly Elections are held in a free, fair and transparent manner.AAP leaders said that this development of unceremonious transfer of the lady IAS officer has led to huge resentment amongst those officers, who are known for not budging under any kind of political pressure in lieu of plum postings in connivance with the Akali jathedar's. 

He said that it has been due to the Goondaraj spread by the goons within the Akali-BJP that people of Punjab have been demanding change and would teach them a befitting lesson in the upcoming Assembly Elections 2017.Grewal they added   that this clearly shows the mindset of the Akali Dal-BJP towards the officers lobby. They said that the IAS officer, who has now been replaced by a PCS officer, was just doing her duty as per the service rules, but this did not go down well with the power-hungry Jathedar's who got her transferred from the city.The AAP leaders said that this development has exposed the feudal mindset of Akali-BJP leaders who are hell bent to grab the reins of power by using all kinds of unfair means and urged the Election Commission of India to take strong notice of it and impose the code of conduct at the earliest so that a congenial atmosphere for smooth conduct of Assembly Elections is made in Punjab.
