Floating of yet another front christened “Punjab Front” by neglected, humiliated but dedicated and committed volunteers of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and it fielding over 25 candidates in first go  is clear indication that the party is up for more splits in run up to polls.Stating this here today, Manjinder Singh Sirsa , SAD spokesman and advisor to Punja deputy CM Sukhbir Badal said that the AAP had faced so many splits since its inception that one fails to keep b count of them. These vertical splits in the party are besides the prominent individuals leaving the party after they had been either thrown out as they had genuine differences with Kejriwal or were inconvenient to his designs.Interestingly, Sucha Singh Chhotepur who  build the party for couple of years in the state was dubbed as “corrupt” while recent deserter Yamini Gomar , who had been party’s nominee for Hoshiarpur Lok Sabha  seat as “opportunist”. Kejriwal’s formula is simple- give a dog  bad name and hang him.

Sirsa recalled that more than half the Lok Sabha nominees in 2014 have deserted or thrown out of the party.Sirsa said that first,  it was Yogender Yadav opting out and then it was the turn of party MPs Dharmvir  Gandhi and Harinder Singh Khalsa too got estranged though for technical reasons they continued to be in AAP to avoid disqualification as member parliament. In each assembly constituency, there is one rebel AAP and fielding its own candidates as the party volunteers alleged that the “party tickets were on sale” and dedicated workers were being treated as “slaves”. The net result is desertions by hordes in the party at all levels primarily because of autocratic and autocratic functioning sans democracy or right to dissent and prevalent corruption and moral degradation as tested by its women volunteers from time to time. Sirsa said that with repeated splits and splits within splits, it has become difficult to identify which is the real “AAP”in Punjab and its workers are seen humming ‘is ke tukde hazar hue ,koi idhar gira koi udhar  gira”.
