Human Rights Day: Kavinder Gupta presents ‘Lifetime Humanitarian Awards’ to social activists

The National Human Rights and State Social Justice Council, J&K organized a function here today to celebrate the International Human Rights Day. Speaker Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly Kavinder Gupta was the chief guest on the occasion.The Speaker presented lifetime achievement award under Humanitarian Awards to the renowned social personalities Des Raj Danish and Dev Raj Baru for their selfless social services.Speaking on the occasion, the Speaker appreciated the role of social activists for their contribution in promoting societal interests and human liberty. He stressed upon the people to be conscious of their rights and responsibilities towards the society.The Speaker expressed hope that these dedicated social workers will continue their services for the cause of humanity with same spirit and zeal.The Speaker also presented awards to other social activists including Rubina Mir, Anil Padha, Girish Raizada, Abdul Aziz Bali, Sudhir Katyal, Brij Mohan, Tasleem Kounsar, Dr Romesh, Dr Rohin, Dr Ashish, Anand Dubey, Devendra and Manik Mangotra. 

Former MLC Asgar Ali, Executive Director National Human Rights J&K M I Zargar, social activists and other officials were also present on the occasion.
