Deputy Chief Minister Punjab Sukhbir Singh Badal said that NDA would get clear majority in the ensuing Lok Sabha elections and the fortune of Congress party would lost into the pages of history as nation was fed up of anti people and anti nation policies of this most corrupt political party. He was talking to media after initiating work on three development projects worth Rs 185.16 Crore here today.Replying to a media query regarding ‘One Rank One Pension’ bill introduced by Congress led UPA party, Mr. Badal questioned the intention of Congress party and its allies for ignoring this bill of great importance for a decade. He said that Punjab government has requested UPA government to bring this bill of utmost importance for our soldiers for last 10 years but it postponed it for one or other reason. “Congress party is well aware that it is now on the verge of extinction so its frustrated leader is trying to whitewash its misdeeds. Now, it is practicing its age old practice of befooling people by bringing such bills but these days voters of the nation are well aware of such tactics”, added Mr. Badal.

When asked about whether Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal would opt for a senior post if NDA comes to power, Mr. Badal said that serving for Punjab and its people was always first priority for patron of Shiromani Akali dal and he would always prefer to stay at Punjab to fulfill his commitments to the people of the state.Earlier, Mr. Badal laid foundation stones of ultra modern auditorium worth rupees 55 crore here at sector 62, residential school for meritorious students worth rupees 30 crore at sector 70 and 200 meter wide road from sector 73/74 junction to national highway Kharar.On this occasion, Mr. Badal informed that SAD-BJP government was going to fulfill its commitment of setting up one of its kind multi-utility auditorium at Mohali. He said that this auditorium would provide great opportunities to budding talents besides promoting cultural activities. Deputy CM further announced that Punjab government was going to setup residential schools for meritorious students with an investment of 180 crores at Mohali, Bathinda, Ludhiana, Jalandhar and Amritsar to provide them quality education.Prominent amongst others, Mr. Sikander Singh Maluka, education minister, Mrs. Paramjit Kaur Landran, Chairperson Punjab State Women Commission, Mr. Balwant Singh Ramoowalia, former Union Minister and Mrs. Amanjot Kaur Ramoowalia, Chairperson District Planning Committee Mohali were also present on the occasion.
