Durga Nagar Welfare Committee delegation meets Governor

A delegation of Durga Nagar Welfare Committee, led by its President Mr. Roshan Lal Raina, called on Governor N.N. Vohra at the Raj Bhavan here today. The delegation apprised the Governor about the major problems of their area which include : provision of ration only as per previous quota; sanctioning of 250 KV transformer in Kalashpati lane and transformer augmentation from 250 KV to 400 KV in Khatri Mohalla; expediting selection process to fill vacant positions of migrants in government jobs; expediting preparation of estimates for different works by Works Wing of Municipal Corporation Jammu and Chief Engineer R&B; provision of suitable health care facilities for the residents of Durga Nagar; transport facility; monetary support for construction of community hall; provision of land for construction of higher secondary school building  at Durga Nagar; financial assistance for cancer patients etc..The Governor observed that all the projected difficulties shall be got urgently enquired into and assured support for the welfare of the Durga Nagar residents.
