World Soil Health Day observed at Doda

A programme was organized by the Department of Agriculture in the meeting hall of DC Office Doda to mark the World Soil Health Day Officers from Agriculture and allied Departments, Scientists from KVK Bhaderwah and farmers in large number participated in the programme.Assistant Commissioner Revenue Doda, Ranjeet Singh was the Chief Guest on the occasion. He distributed the Soil Health Cards among the farmers and asked them to avail the benefits of various schemes being implemented by the department for their welfare.District Level member of Kissan Advisory Board Amrik Singh also highlighted the importance of soil day and lauded the role of Agriculture Department in reaching out to the farmers and creating awareness.Experts from Department of Agriculture and Scientists of KVK highlighted the importance of   judicious application of chemical fertilizers and also the importance of Farm Yard Manure (FYM) and Micro-nutrients in order to maintain the soil health for increasing agriculture production.Earlier, M A Beg DAO (E) Nodal Officer Soil Health Scheme Doda welcomed the participants and highlighted the importance of World Soil Day.
