Mehbooba Mufti pays obeisance at Dastgeer Sahab Shrine

Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti on Monday paid obeisance to Dastageer Sahib at Khanyar shrine. Amid restrictions in old and some parts of uptown areas of Srinagar city, Mehbooba Mufti visited the shrine to pay her obeisance. She was accompanied by senior PDP leader Muhammad Khurshid Aalam.Eyewitnesses told CNS that as soon as the Chief Minister alighted from her vehicle, scores of PDP workers raised pro-Mehbooba and pro-party slogans. The Chief Minister directed officials to make all possible arrangements for the devotees in the shrine.Muhammad Khurshid Aalam said that the Chief Minister appealed to people to maintain peace. “The Chief Minister asked people to beware of divisive forces whose sole objective is to disrupt peace and in the state.” (CNS)
