Dhumal celebrates Diwali with orphans

Chief Minister Prof. Prem Kumar Dhumal celebrated Diwali festival with the children of Bal Ashram, Tutikandi and Kasturba Gandhi Sarvodaya Bal Ashram, Shimla and distributed sweets, fruits and fire crackers to them.Chief Minister wished all of them a happy, prosperous and safe Deepawali and exhorted them to follow the ideology of Lord Rama in day to day life. He said that the need of the hour was to follow the ideology of Lord Ram into practical life so that the rich legacy of humanity of our country was taken forward to every nook and corner of the world. He said that every inpidual needed to dedicate himself towards the service of the Nation so that it could emerge as ‘Vishwa Guru’. He said that the Deepawali festival was celebrated world over by people of different faiths. Dhumal said that Deepawali festival symbolizes the victory of good over evil. He wished every inpidual happy and prosperous life. Earlier, Shri Subhashish Panda, Deputy Commissioner, Shimla welcomed the Chief Minister and apprised him about various activities being undertaken towards the welfare of the children residing in Bal Ashrams. R.S. Gupta, Principal Private Secretary to Chief Minister and other senior officers accompanied the Chief Minister. Large number of people from all walks of life visited the official residence of Chief Minister and greeted him on occasion of Deepawali festival. He also visited the Raj Bhawan to greet the Governor Smt. Urmila Singh on the occasion of Deepawali. Chief Minister also exchanged greetings with Union Ministers, Governors and Chief Ministers of various States, Party High Command Leaders MPs etc. telephonically.
