Ajay Nanda provides financial assistance to Jyotipuram road accident victims

Minister of State for Finance, Planning, Relief and Rehabilitation, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Labour and Employment, Tribal Affairs & Law and Justice, Parliamentary Affairs Ajay Nanda today provided financial assistance to Jyotipuram road accident victims in Reasi.Financial assistance of Rs 1 lakh was provided to the next of kin of 23 deceased persons and Rs 25000 was provided to 17 persons who sustained critical injuries in the tragic road accident.People of the area appreciated the role of Government and District Administration in putting in every possible effort to mitigate the sufferings of the accident victims and providing free treatment, besides timely help from Chief Minister’s Relief Fund and District Red Cross Society.The Minister further advised the public to avail benefits of recently launched insurance schemes like Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY) and Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Yojana (PMJJY).Deputy Commissioner, Reasi Ravinder Kumar, Senior Superintendent of Police, Tahir Sajad Bhat, Assistant Commissioner, Revenue Abdul Sattar and other senior officers were present on the occasion.
