Minister convenes series of public grievances redress camps in Darhal Constituency

Minister for Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Chowdhary Zulfkar Ali, today said that the government is committed to develop and equip the rural pockets with all necessary infrastructure and related facilities at par with urban areas.The Minister said this while addressing a series of public grievances redressal camps in Dalheri, Gunda, Keri Bheela, Gadyog, Kundal, Bainambal and Dharmsal areas of Darhal Constituency.Chowdhary Zulfkar Ali said the government is working with missionary vision for transforming the developmental scenario of the state and special focus is being laid on far flung areas of the state. He said several mega projects and social welfare schemes have been launched which have started yielding results on ground.Highlighting the status of development works in Darhal, Zulfkar said that projects worth crores of rupees have been either completed or are nearing completion in the constituency and most of these projects have been taken up for execution during 2015 and 2016.  He added that the mission of this government is not only to lay foundation stones and attend the inaugural ceremonies but it believes in facilitating the people by implementing the works on ground.The Minister said that the state government is laying focused attention on rural areas so as to make these areas developed at par with the urban parts. 

He said that state cannot move ahead till all the villages are developed and Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti is very concerned about the development of every nook and corner of the State. He said that various developmental projects are going on in the rural belts and more projects are in the offing.The Minister said that peace along the borders and within the mainland is imperative to accomplish the developmental mission.During the public redressal camps, the Minister assured the people that all their issues would be taken up with the concerned authorities for an early redressal.The Minister directed all the concerned officers to make frequent visits of their respective areas and organize awareness camps in far flung areas.Terming setting up of maize procurement mandies as a big step towards farmers empowerment, the Minister said that in addition to opening of these mandies in Laam and Siot area besides Dhangri 2 more such mandies would be set up in the Constituency.District Development Commissioner, Rajouri, Shabir Ahmed Bhat, Director Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Jammu G.S. Chib  along with all sectoral and district officers accompanied the Minister.
