Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National Spokesman and In-charge of party’s affairs in Punjab, Sanjay Singh today demanded that Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Badal and Jail Minister Sohan Singh Thandal should put in their papers at once owning direct responsibility of Nabha Jail Break from where five dreaded gangsters including a hardcore terrorist escaped. Sanjay Singh said that Sukhbir Badal being the Home Minister of Punjab has no moral right to keep the Home portfolio even for one day as under him the state is being driven towards anarchy day by day. “May it be attack on religious preacher, murder of Mata Chand Kaur of Namdhari Sect in broad day light, series of sacrilege incidents, drug haul in Punjab, murder of RSS ideologue or Nabha Jail break, Sukhbir Badal has completely failed as Home Minister and hence must resign from his post”, Sanjay Singh added. Singh said Punjab cannot afford to see the law & order collapsing every day. Even Punjab Police which is directly under the control of Sukhbir Badal have failed to respond effectively on the Nabha Jail break, Sanjay Singh said adding that on the other hand the Police killed an innocent 24 year old girl at Samana and injured another in chase of the escaped gangsters. Sukhbir Badal by claiming that Nabha Jail Break as handiwork of Pakistan, he has once again exposed himself to his irresponsible behaviour, Singh said. “If Sukhbir Badal was right that Pakistan was indeed behind Nabha Jail Break, then Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh should also quit for failing to protect the international borders”, Sanjay Singh vowed.

State Convener of AAP, Gurpreet Singh Waraich while lambasting Sukhbir Badal for his irresponsible statement said that this was not the first time when Sukhbir Badal has blamed for all ills of Punjab on Pakistan.  “May it be series of sacrilege incidents, drug haul or even the murder of RSS leader, Sukhbir does not even think twice before blaming the neighbouring country for all these”, Waraich added. “Every time Sukhbir merely constitute a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to put the issue under the carpet, but no such SIT has yielded results so far”, Waraich said that on Nabha Jail Break also Sukhbir has just constituted an SIT only. If Nabha Jail Break was handiwork of Pakistan, as claimed by Sukhbir Badal, then union Home Minister Rajnath Singh should also quit, demanded Waraich. Such daredevil attack on Jail by uniformed gangsters could not have been possible without active connivance of State Government or higher police officials, AAP Convener said demanding that there was immediate need for the deployment of para-military forces in the Punjab as law & order situation has stooped new low now.
