CM announces to open SDM Offices at Dharampur and Mandi

Chief Minister, Virbhadra Singh announced to open  Sub pisional Magistrate Office at Dharampur and Sub pisional Magistrate Office (Rural) at Mandi in Mandi District. He was addressing a public meeting at Dharampur in Mandi District today.Earlier Chief Minister laid the foundation stone of Government Senior Secondary School (Girls) Sarkaghat to be constructed at a cost of Rs. 84.45 lakh. He inaugurated Science Block of Government Degree College Sarkaghat constructed at a cost of Rs. 3.20 crore, building of  Police Post Dharampur constructed at a cost of Rs. 70.53 lakh, building of Primary Health Centre Seoh constructed at a cost of Rs. 77.88 lakh and Science Laboratory of Government Senior Secondary School, Seoh constructed at a cost of Rs. 80.25 lakh. He performed the foundation stone ceremony of stadium at Dharampur to be constructed at a cost of Rs. 25 lakh and announced to  name it in the memory of hockey legend Major Dhyan Chand. He also laid the foundation stone of Government Degree College building Sandhol to be constructed at a cost of Rs. 726.57 lakh.He said that Dharampur area had witnessed rapid development due to efforts of successive Congress Governments. He said that the State Government would give special emphasis for speedy and balanced development of the area. The State had emerged as a model of development for hill states of the country, he added.

Virbhadra Singh said that the State Government was committed for equal and balance development of the State. He said that Dr. Y.S. Parmar the first Chief Minister of the State laid strong foundation of development and now the State was marching on the path of development. He had always been committed for development of all the section of the society, he added.Chief Minister said that previous Government constructed bus stands at Mandi and Dharmapur but they were lacking basic amenities. He said that present State Government had sanctioned Rs. five crore for completing the work of Mandi bus stand and providing basic amenities. He said that irregularities were committed during the construction of bus stands and two roads in Dharampur area constructed at a cost of Rs.90 crore from Central Roads Fund and an inquiry would be conducted to punish the guilty. 

Shri Virbhadra Singh said that the State Government had announced to open 12 new Government Degree Colleges during last one year including one College at Sandhol. He said that provision of Rs. five crore had been made  for development of  infrastructure in each college. He announced to name Government Degree College Dharampur in the memory of Dr. Sarvpalli Radha Krishnan and Government Degree College Sarkaghat in the memory of Shri Ravinder Nath Tagore. He directed the public works department to construct boundary wall at Government Degree College Dharampur and Education Department to start the classes in new building at earliest. He also announced to upgrade Police Chowki Dharampur to Police Station.

Earlier the Chief Minister paid floral tributes to Guru Ravi Das on his 637th birth anniversary.Shri Rajender Rana, MLA said that the State had achieved milestones development under the visionary leadership of Chief Minister Shri Virbhadra Singh. He said that Chief Minister had visited his assembly constituency thrice during last one year and fulfilled all the demands of the people of the area. He said that whenever BJP came into the power in the State it has  always targeted Shri Virbhadra Singh and framed many false cases against him but he was exonerated.

 Chander Shekhar Member PCC and former Minister Shri Rangila Ram Rao also spoke on the occasion.President District Scheduled Caste Congress Cell, Shri Rajender Mohan welcomed the Chief Minister.President, District Congress Committee, Shri Puran Chand Thakur, President, Block Congress Committee, Dharampur Shri Ramesh Thakur, Vice President, Congress Parliamentary area Mandi Shri Anil Sharma, President Youth Congress Dharampur Shri Ritesh Thakur, Director General of Police Shri Sanjay Kumar, Inspector General of Police Shri P.L. Thakur, Deputy Commissioner Mandi Shri Ritesh Kumar, Superintendent of Police Shri R.S. Negi, Director, Higher Education Department Shri Shashi Bhushan Shekhari, Senior Officers of the State Government and prominent people of the area were also present on the occasion.
