National Convener of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on his maiden day of 11 days tour of Punjab, proposed name of Sangrur MP Bhagwant Mann to contest against Deputy Chief Minister and SAD President Sukhbir Badal.While addressing his first rally on the political home-turf of Sukhbir Badal, Kejriwal asked the huge gathering if Bhagwant Mann should contest against Sukhbir Badal. The people who turned out in huge number, replied with a thunderous applause immediately to give approval to the proposal.In fact, Kejriwal asked people thrice if Bhagwant Mann should contest against Sukhbir Badal and each time people replied in cheerful manner by saying “Yes, Mann should contest against Sukhbir Badal”.Immediately after that Kejriwal also proposed that in case Sukhbir Badal changes his mind to contest from any other constituency and should Bhagwant Mann also follow him to contest from there and crowd responded positively. 

Bhagwant Mann who was standing close by, humbly accepted the Kejriwal’s proposal and declared that he was ready to contest against Sukhbir Badal from wherever he will contest the assembly election.“In Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) it is a trend set up by Kejriwal, who have defeated former Delhi Chief Minister Sheela Dixit two times in consecutive manner and I feel honoured that this opportunity in Punjab has given to me”, Mann said.“I also invite Captain Amarinder Singh to contest assembly election against Sukhbir Badal, instead of contesting from his traditional seat, to know whether people of Punjab accept him as their leader”, Mann dared Captain.National Convener of AAP, Kejriwal also announced that tomorrow he is going to make public the Swiss Bank accounts of Captain Amarinder Singh & his family, where he has amassed huge wealth, looted from Punjab when he was Chief Minister of Punjab from 2002-2007.“Captain Amarinder Singh has amassed lot of wealth during his tenure as Chief Minister from 2002 to 2007 and he transferred this looted money to the foreign accounts of his son Raninder Singh and wife Parneet Kaur, for which they were summoned by different law enforcing agencies including Income Tax and Enforcement Directorate”, Kejriwal said.

Kejriwal also said that after Amarinder Singh, it were Akalis, who plundered the wealth of Punjab during their 10 years of “misrule”.“Here in Punjab, it is only Akali Mafia, which runs every businesses – be it transport, liquor, cable, mining, hotel or land”, Kejriwal said.He again reiterated that Bikram Majithia, who has been “Drug Lord” of Punjab is responsible for spreading multi-crore drug network in Punjab and again challenged him (Majithia) vowing that if he (Majithia) has guts, he should get him (Kejriwal) arrested within remaining two months of SAD-BJP rule, otherwise after formation of AAP Government in Punjab, he (Kejriwal) would put him (Majithia) behind bar.Delhi Chief Minister also said the collusion between Congress and Akalis could be visible today when he was travelling on roads, as both Akali and Congress workers were showing him black flags.“Have you ever seen Congress workers showing black flags to Akalis, or Akalis showing black flags to Congress?”, Kejriwal asked the crowd, which replied in a big applause of clapping. Prominent among those who were present on the dais include Gurpreet Singh Waraich, Sanjay Singh, HS Phoolka, Sukhpal Khaira, Jarnail Singh, Jagmeet Singh Brar, Gulshan Chhabra and Mohan Singh Phalianwala, Principal Baldev Singh, Malkit Singh Thind, Samarbir Singh Sidhu, Jagdeep Singh Kaka Brar, Giri Raj Rajora and Gurdit Singh Sekhon.
