DC reviews development works under SAGY

District Development Commissioner, Ramesh Kumar, held a  meeting  to discuss plan for taking up development works for Sheetal Nagar (Bhoond) in Kathua district.Pertinently, the village has been adopted by Minister of State (Independent Charge) for the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region, Prime Minister Office, Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Department of Atomic Energy and Department of Space Dr Jitendra Singh under centrally sponsored Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojna (SAGY).The  DC called for ensuring collection of error free baseline survey data and constituted a team comprising BLO, Anganwadi worker and GRS of concerned area for door to door survey. He exhorted upon the officers to conduct extensive tour of the village before formulating the Village Development Plan.The DDC impressed upon ACD Kathua (Nodal Officer) to monitor the development of the village and to act as a coordinator among various departments.The DDC directed district officers of  all the departments to activate their men and machinery for effective and timely implementation of development schemes and programmes.
