Rakhra Disbursed Rs. 18.76 Crore For Toilet Construction

The Rural Development and Panchayat department has disbursed grant in aid worth Rs. 18.76 crore to villages for the construction of inpidual toilets for poor people. It was disclosed by Surjit Singh Rakhra, Minister for Rural Development and Panchayat, Punjab here today.The Minister said that the grant in aid was provided to the all District Development and Panchayat Officers (DDPOs) through online accounts. He said that the funds were provided to the concerned Panchayats for the construction of Inpidual House Hold Toilets. Rakhra while pulging the detail of the amount disbursed to the all districts, said that Amritsar has been disbursed an amount of Rs.1.29 crore, Bathinda Rs.96.14 lakh, Barnala Rs.44.71 lakh, Faridkot Rs.43.49 lakh, Fatehgarh Sahib Rs.44.85 lakh, Ferozpur Rs.77.40 lakh, Fazilka Rs.82.23 lakh, Gurdaspur Rs.1.35 crore, Hoshiarpur Rs.1.35 crore, Jalandhar Rs.1.11 crore, Kapurthala Rs.57.71 lakh, Ludhiana Rs.1.54 crore, Mansa Rs.65.55 lakh, Moga Rs. 83 lakh, Sri Mukatsar Sahib Rs.70.16 lakh, SBS Nagar Rs.52.67 lakh, Patiala Rs.1.22 crore, Pathnkot Rs.42.45 lakh, Ropar Rs.54.95 lakh, Sangrur Rs.1.23 crore, SAS Nagar Mohali Rs.48.54 lakh and Tarn taran has been provided the finical assistance of Rs. 1.05 crore.Mr. Rakhra reiterated the SAD-BJP Government has resolved to enact total facelift of all the villages by providing the citizen basic amentias coupled with ultra modern infrastructure.
