Today a  Calling attention was moved by Dr Shehnaz Ganai, MLC with regard to the  matter of Public importance, against the situation that has arisen due to non completion of the Tehsil Complex at Mandi and Mini Secretariat at District Head Quarter Poonch.Dr Ganai, said that the idea of Construction of the Tehsil Complex and Mini Sectt at Tehsil and District Head Quarters was to provide the Services to the general public under single roof. But due to non completion of the work the people have to visit from office to office which are situated at different locations to get their grievances redressed.She said that over the years there has been price escalation in the construction cost, but still the funds are not being made available, which she mentioned is going to escalate further if delayed further. 

She said the work of Tehsil complex was started in the year 2008-09, with the time line of Three years, but despite lapse of five years, the work is yet to get completed. Meagre amount of Rs 158 lacs is required for completion of the Tehsil complex at Mandi, which she stressed the Govt to release, so that the Tehsil office functions properly at Mandi.On the other hand Rs 832 lacs more are required for the completion of the Mini Sectt at Poonch and stressed the Govt to take steps for completion of the same.During Zero hour she raised the issue of providing relief to the affected families, who suffered losses due to flash floods that occurred during 2013, in Poonch. She said that Govt had released relief package, but on assessment, a supplementary claim was also forwarded to the govt for sanction which she stressed needs to be released so that the same gets disbursed to the affected families.
