By defeating the USA team by 57-40, the Indian men team entered the finals of Dr BR Ambedkar 6th World Cup Kabaddi 2016, while the USA eves defeated Kenya by 41-20 to enter the finals for the first time. The finals of the men section would be played between India vs England in men section while India vs USA in women section. These matches would be held at the Sports Stadium at Jalalabad. For third position, the match of men section would be played between Iran vs USA while in women section between New Zealand vs Kenya.For today’s semi final matches played at the sports stadium of village Badal in Sri Muktsar Sahib district, Chief Minister Mr Parkash Singh Badal was the chief guest.First semi final of the day was played between USA vs Kenya in which the USA team defeated the African team by 41-20. For USA, raiders Guramrit Kaur Hari Khalsa scored 11 points, Perrilla Nova scored 5, while stoppers Candis Tanis secured 9 and Phlobe secured 6 points. For Kenya, raiders Sofia scored 7 and stopper Leah secured 6 points. This is for the first time that the USA women team reached the finals of this mega sporting tourney.The second match of the day was the semi final of men section between USA vs India, in which the Indian team defeated the Americans by 57-40. For Indian team, raiders Manjot Singh Gill and Raju scored 12 points each and Jagmohan Sokhi scored 10 points and stoppers Nindi secured 4 and Khushi secured 3 points. For USA, raiders AJ, Inderjit Judge and Jatinderpal scored 6 points each, while stoppers Donte, Gurpreet and Harjinder secured 1 point each.
