CS reviews progress of PMDP projects

Chief Secretary, B.R. Sharma, reviewed the progress of implementation of Prime Minister’s Development Package (PMDP) at a high-level meeting held here today.  The PMDP of Rs. 80,000 crore is under implementation for the overall development and up-gradation of infrastructure in all the important sectors in the State. The major focus has been envisaged in the package on the improvement of road and highway projects, power, health, sports, urban development, tourism, relief and rehabilitation, agriculture and promotion of Pashmina etc.The Chief Secretary received detailed brief on the progress of implementation of PMDP and called upon the Administrative Secretaries to lay focused attention on the time-bound completion of the projects and personally monitoring the progress of each one. He emphasized the need for ensuring close synergy by different agencies for achieving the better and timely results.

The Administrative Secretaries briefed about the progress achieved on the PMDP and measures initiated for undertaking the projects as per the timeline.Among those present in the meeting included, Financial Commissioner, Agriculture Production, Mr. Pramod Jain, Financial Commissioner, Planning, Development and Monitoring Department, Mr. B.B. Vyas, Principal Secretary, Home, Mr. R.K. Goyal and Administrative Secretaries of Finance, Industries & Commerce, Revenue, Rural Development, Housing & Urban Development, PHE, I&FC, Social Welfare, Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Culture, Tourism, GAD, Law, Forest, Information Technology, PDD, Transport, Higher Education, Health and Medical Education and HoDs of various departments.
