Government terminates employees on political basis : Muhamamd Akbar Lone

Describing the termination of Fire and Emergency Service (F&ES) department employee as a ‘shameful’ act from the incumbent state government, National Conference legislator and former Speaker Muhamamd Akbar Lone Wednesday said that decision of the government to terminate selective group of employees in completely political in nature.“Isn’t it shame for the government that it terminated the Fire Service employee Abdul Rashid Bhat given the fact administration had given him a clean chit? All the employees who have been sacked so far were targeted for opposing the suppressive and oppressive nature of PDP government,” Lone told news agency CNS.He said the steps regarding termination of government employees is nothing but authoritarian and undemocratic in nature which is never in state’s interest. “It vindicates the authoritarian approach being adopted by the central as well as by the state government to deal with the sensitive issue,” Lone said.
