Hanjura distributes cheques among landslide, fire victims of Chrar-e-Sharief

Minister for Agriculture, Ghulam Nabi Lone Hanjura, today distributed cheques worth Rs 19.65 lakh among 229 landslide and fire victim families whose property got damaged recently in the Chrar-e-Sharief Constituency.Speaking on the ocassion, the Minister said that the present Government is committed for welfare and wellbeing of the people and has launched several welfare schemes for over all development of the State. He appealed the people to come forward and support administration in speeding up the ongoing developmental works. He said several micro and macro projects have been sanctioned for the Constituency, adding that on completion of these works it will better the socio-economic condition of the people.  He directed the concerned to re-double their efforts and speed up the pace of work on all ongoing works for timely completion. He also asked them to conduct regular visits of far off areas to monitor and ensure effective implementation of development and welfare programmes.District Development Commissioner, Mir Altaf Ahmad, SSP Budgam and other officers were present on the occasion.
