Lashing out at the Central NDA government, former external affairs minister, Salman Khurshid today stated that the Narendra Modi government doesn’t like to be questioned. Addressing a press conference at DPS World School in Dhakoli, Zirakpur, Khurshid said, “Anyone who questions the government is being labeled a traitor or an irresponsible person”.

Speaking on the issue of black money, Khurshid said that the Central government should also focus on the fake currencies being pushed into the country from outside. He said, “Modi government should disclose the amount of fake currency seized till now. The NDA government has so far failed to clarify about what steps have been taken to curb black money. If the BJP says that it will contest the next elections only by using a cheque, then I will admit that black money has been wiped away”.

On the issue of SYL, Khurshid said, “All the political parties should refrain from playing politics over this issue. It would be better if they get together and resolve it or they will have to go by the SC decision”.

Speaking over the reports of infighting between Punjab Congress chief Capt. Amarinder Singh and Pratap Singh Bajwa, Khurshid said that Congress high command was aware of it and will take apt measures when required. “Captain’s hardwork and the enthusiasm of the cadres will lead Congress to a thumping victory in Punjab”, he added.Commenting on the shifting stand of AAP over SYL issue, Khurshid said, “AAP likes to point fingers at others, but it doesn’t want to be questioned. Their leaders are used to give irresponsible statements on serious issues. This might have helped them in the past, but they stand exposed now”.Besides Khurshid’s wife, Luis Khurshid, Chairman of DPS World School, Kewal Garg and his family, school Principal Jyoti Nagrani and esteemed members of DPS World foundation, students, their parents and public figures from the city were also present on the occasion. The students also organized an exhibition and presented colorful programs on the occasion.
