DDC Reasi for massive public awareness campaigns about New Monetary Policy

District Development Commissioner Reasi, Ravinder Kumar IAS today directed the officers to organize awareness camps across the district to aware the masses about the demonetization of Rs 500, Rs 1000 currency notes and procedure for depositing the old notes at bank.The DDC said that Circular instructions have already been issued among the field functionaries in this regard so that people of the far flung and hilly areas who are unaware may not suffer any monetary loss and can be made aware in stipulated time frame.During the meeting DDC took a review of physical and financial achievements upto ending Octomber 2016 under District Capex Budget 2016-17 , State plan, CSS and Major Flagship Programmes and Implementation of District Convergence Plan.The DDC reviewed in detail different schemes department wise and further instructed the District Heads to expedite the pace of work to achieve the desired targets in a stipulated time frame.

DDC asked Agriculture and allied departments to highlight their success stories so that more and more people could be made aware about various Centrally Sponsored Schemes. DDC also sought lists of all defunct buildings which were lying vacant due to shifting of various Government Offices to Mini Secretariat Complex and other new buildings. Stressing on Swachh Bharat Mission and making the District Open Defecation Free, Kumar directed all the officers to ensure that all the government employees in the district should have toilets at their homes so that   awareness about the benefits of using toilets among the common masses can be generated. DDC also asked the District heads to hold public meetings and conduct field visits regularly.CPO H.L. Sharma, DPO Rajeev Khajuria, CEO Vinod Kumar Soni, CMO Dr. L.D.
