Governor inaugurates Bharat Sevashram Sangha’s Guest House

Governor N.N. Vohra inaugurated the newly constructed Guest House building of Bharat Sevashram Sangha (BSS) at Panjgrain, Nagrota, here today. This Guest House would provide board, lodging and medical facilities for Yatris to Shri Amarnathji and Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrines.Appreciating the Sangha’s commitment towards the service of humanity, the Governor congratulated the BSS on the occasion of its centennial celebrations and the world wide philanthropic and selfless activities of its monks and workers. The Governor recalled the health care services provided by BSS for the Shri Amarnathji Yatris at the Chandanwari Yatra Camp, beyond Pahalgam, during the entire Yatra period and hoped that the new Guest House would make the pilgrimages even more comfortable for the Yatris.The Governor observed that more such charitable and selfless organizations like the BSS would make a valuable contribution towards the upliftment of the down trodden and needy segments of the society. 

He noted that the activities of such organizations highlight and reinvigorate our ethical traditions and serve as a guiding force for the betterment of humanity.The Governor announced a prize of rupees eleven thousand for the young girl students, studying in school run by BSS in Jammu, who sang the National Anthem and distributed blankets, arranged by the BSS, to the needy persons living in the adjoining villages.Mr. Jugal Kishore Sharma, Member Parliament and Mr. Devender Singh Rana, MLA Nagrota spoke on the occasion and lauded the efforts of BSS for their social welfare programmes and appealed to the Sangha to continue its humanitarian services for the disadvantaged sections of the society. Swami Sasvatanandaji Maharaj, Joint Secretary BSS highlighted activities of the organization in his address.Swami Biswatmanandaji Maharaj, Organizer BSS, and Mr. H.C. Katoch, Trustee, BSS, presented the Welcome Address and Vote of Thanks.Mr. Simrandeep Singh, Deputy Commissioner Jammu, was among those present on the occasion.
