Asks officials to encourage youth for participation

Minister for Youth Services and Sports, Moulvi Imran Raza Ansari Saturday viewed the functioning of the departments at Indoor Stadium here.He urged authorities to encourage youth for taking part in sports activities.He asked the concerned officers to take concerted efforts for generating mass awareness among stakeholders about the Skill Development mission so that maximum people specially the youth can avail benefit of the programmes and enhance their employability. Officials while giving details of the activities of the department informed the Minister that the sports calendar for the current year has been released and emphasis has been laid to motivate school going children and drop out students to take part in the sports activities. It was also given out that several traditional sports activities have been introduced in the sports calendar. Ansari stressed the need achieving the set targets maintaining that requisite steps will be taken to give impetus to the sports activities in the state. (KNS)
