IGP IRP interacts with 15th Battalion officials

Inspector General of Police IRP Jammu, Yoginder Koul today interacted with the women officers and officials of IRP 15th Battalion here at Battalion Headquarters Gulshan Ground, Gandhi Nagar.In her welcome address, Anita Sharma, SSP (Commandant IRP 15th Battalion) presented a detailed resume of the activities and achievements made by the Battalion.The IGP appreciated the women officials for performing various types of duties with dedication. He said that this only women Battalion is unique   in the State of Jammu and Kashmir which has been raised to cater to the needs of women police and deal with various types of duties like law and order, checking /frisking duties at vital installations and other multifarious duties.The officers and officials present in the Darbar were given opportunity to raise certain issues and suggestions so that the same could be redressed.They were advised to remain punctual, extra vigilant at their respective duties to avoid any untoward incident. They were also asked to maintain proper discipline among the rank and file and be in good turnout during duty hours.With regard to welfare measures, the women officials were assured that due care will be given to meet their aspirations in future also.The Darbar proceedings concluded with best wishes for all the officers/officials.
