Condemning the continuous ceasefire violations across the International Border, Union minister and Punjab BJP president Vijay Sampla today warned that Pakistan should refrain from such provocative acts. In his blog Sampla said, “India is a peace loving democracy and has never attacked any nation first. But Pakistan should bear it in mind that we do give a befitting reply. If Pakistan continues with its incursions or provocative actions on borders violating the ceasefire, then along with the Indian Army, the Indian citizens are ready to play their role”.Sampla further wrote, “I don’t understand the simple fact that why do we have to warn Pakistan every time that it should weigh the situation before any misadventure. I think Pakistan has forgotten 1965 and 1971. If these loses are not enough, then Pakistan should bear in mind the defeat in Kargil and the recent surgical strikes.

Pakistan only fights to fuel its ego and instigate hatred, while jawans of the Indian Army are ready to sacrifice their lives for the nation”.“It is evident from our historical past that we have always preached and practiced peace. During the Ramayana era, Angad went to Ravan’s Lanka as a peace-envoy and during the Mahabarat times Lord Krishna himself went to Dhritrashtra as an emissary to broker truce. Continuing this tradition, many of our former prime ministers including Atal Bihari Vajpayee and incumbent PM Narendra Modi visited Pakistan and tried to resolve the differences and bring in peace and harmony. Instead, Pakistan has always back-stabbed us. We won’t let the sacrifices of our soldiers go in vain. Indian Army is very much capable and well-equipped to protect its borders”, said Sampla.
