Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) today alleged that Prime Minister Narindra Modi led NDA Government, in which Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) is alliance partner, is trying to save the key accused in 1984 anti-Sikhs riots, Jagdish Tytler & Company.Addressing a press conference here today, AAP leaders HS Phoolka, Kanwar Sandhu, Himmat Singh Shergil, Gulshan Chhabra and Dinesh Chadha said that there were clear indications that on the pattern of Congress, Modi Government is also trying hard to save the accused Congress leaders Jagdish Tytler and others, which could be evident from that for the last two years NDA Government is deliberately delaying the investigation in the case against accused allegedly involved in the massacre of Sikhs.“In December 2015, Supreme Court instructed the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to complete the investigation within two months, but instead of acting on the instruction of Apex Court, Modi Govt not only preferred to delay the investigation, rather demanded time for four more months recently”, Supreme Court Lawyer and Senior AAP leader HS Phoolka said.

Phoolka said that keeping an eye on the Punjab elections, both BJP and SAD do not want to take the case against riots accused to its logical conclusion before assembly elections in Punjab.Training his gun towards PPCC Chief Captain Amarinder Singh, Phoolka said to get himself declared as Congress’ Chief Ministerial Candidate in Punjab and to continue his post as PPCC Chief, Captain is busy in distributing ‘Clean Chits” to key accused of 1984 anti-Sikhs riots Jagdish Tytler and Kamal Nath.“Had the accused of 1984 riots given exemplary punishment at an appropriate time, nobody could have dared to engineer such riots in any part of the country, which takes place so often now”, Phoolka claimed.AAP leader Kanwar Sandhu demanded that all the closed cases pertaining to 1984 anti-Sikhs riots should be re-opened and re-investigated and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal should be given all rights to opening and getting investigated all such cases.

“We assure the nation that all cases should be taken to its logical conclusion within six months, if Delhi Government is allowed to re-open and re-investigate the cases of anti-Sikh riots”, Sandhu vowed adding that in although Modi Govt constituted a Special Investigating Team (SIT) in 2015 to probe the 1984 riots cases, but did not take even a single step to deliver justice to the victims of riots.AAP leaders said to demand justice for the victims of 1984 anti-Sikhs riots, party leaders would sit on a one day hunger strike in front of Gurudwara Shri Amb Sahib, Mohali on Thursday (November 3).

State Convener Gurpreet Singh Waraich, MP Bhagwant Mann, Senior party leaders HS Phoolka, Kanwar Sandhu, Gulshan Chhabra, Aman Arora, Jarnail Singh, Himmat Singh Shergil and other party leaders would sit on the Hunger Strike. On the SYL issue, AAP leaders alleged that both Captain Amarinder Singh and Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal have committed fraud with the people of Punjab.

In the presence of union finance minister Arun Jaitley and BJP’s National President Amit Shah, CM Badal declared that Punjab would not accept any order of Supreme Court, against Punjab and Captain Amarinder Singh has declared that he as MP and all Congress MLAs would resign, in case adverse order by the Supreme Court on SYL issue, AAP leader said. “To whom they are making fool. If Captain would have been serious on the SYL issue, he should have resigned as CM, when Congress led UPA Government referred the issue to Supreme Court for presidential reference”, AAP leaders said adding that even CM Badal is also shredding crocodile tears on the SYL issue, as he should have opted out of NDA, when Solicitor General of India took anti-Punjab stand in Supreme Court on the issue of SYL
