Abdul Ghani Kohli reviews developmental works under education, PWD sectors

Minister for  Animal and Sheep Husbandry, Fisheries took a detailed review of all the developmental works under progress in Rajouri and Nowshera Division of PWD (R&B) department.Among others present in the meeting were  Executive Engineers Rajouri and Nowshera division alongwith concerned AEEs of the division and prominent people of the area.During the meeting, the Minister reviewed various works like  construction  of roads, schools and veterinary dispensaries, maintenance and repair works of school buildings and roads under NABARD, state and district plans.Speaking on the occasion, the Minister directed the department to ensure that all  works are completed in a time bound manner. He cautioned the officers of any delay  in completion of these vital works at any stage.He said that such reviews along with feedback from the local populace greatly help in ensuring optimum outcome from various government schemes envisaged at further improving the living standards of needy and deserving segments of the society.

Later, the Minister took a detailed review of the performance of education department in Rajouri district.  He reviewed the achievements of the department registered under SSA and RMSA. He was apprised that out of 63 projects for the area over 23 projects are being executed while others are at different stages of implementation.Expressing concern over delay in execution of certain works, the Minister directed the concerned agencies to work in tandem and remove existing bottlenecks for expeditious implementation of development projects. He further directed the department to ensure that education students do not suffer for want of infrastructure.Reviewing the functioning of Animal Husbandry department, the Minister asked the officers to ensure availability of men and material for the livestock affected in the border areas due to firing.
