Seven persons including two women were killed and 18 including three army porters were injured in cross border firing on international border and the Line of Control in Samba, Jammu, Rajouri and Poonch districts of Jammu region.A woman and her daughter-in-law died on the spot when a mortar fired by Pakistani troops from across the border exploded near them while they were working in Tarkundi area of Rajouri district.The deceased were identified as Sultan Begum, wife of Sarfraz Ahmed and Maqbool Begum, wife of Mohammad Zameer of village Paryali, Tarkundi, Rajouri."A girl identified as Rajinder Kour,18, of village Jerda and two boys died due to splinter injuries in Ramgarh sector of Samba this morning," police sources here said.They said that Pakistan early morning fired unprovoked and rained 80 mm, 120 mm mortars and automatics in the villages close to the Line of Control.
