Hajj House to be developed on Modern lines: Farooq Andrabi

Minister of State for Hajj & Auqaf (independent charge), Syed Farooq Ahmad Andrabi, today visited Hajj House complex at Bemina, Srinagar.Andrabi inspected various sections of the complex and took stock of the office functioning. He directed the SMC officials to take special care of sanitation and cleanness in and around the Hajj House premises. He also directed them to complete the pending work of Sewerage and Drainage system before the onset of winters. Later, Minister chaired a meeting convened to discuss about the development of Infrastructure of Hajj House on Modern lines.Chief Executive Officer State Hajj Committee Qamar Sajad, Deputy General Manager JKPCC Imtiyaz Khalid Bhat, Executive Engineer R&B Javid Bukhari, Superintending Engineer SMC Abdul Majeed Raina, Superintending Engineer ERA Mir Mohammad Maqbool and other officials from SHC, JKPCC, R&B, SMC and ERA were present in the meeting.

The Minister was apprised through a PowerPoint presentation regarding of the project to be carried out at a cost of Rs 2 crore. He was informed that Elevator within the residential blocks, fully equipped Health centre, Shifting and renovation of pre-fabricated structures, Macadamization of iner roads, Landscaping of the compound, central heating system, fire-fighting equipments, LED television sets, installation of CCTV cameras and WiFi facility are the major works of this project.The Minister said that Hajj House would be developed on modern Lines so that Hajji are provided better facilities. He directed the officers to submit the detailed project report (DPR) within a week so that the work on this project will start on fast track basis.Andrabi further said that he will personally monitor this project and stressed the officials to conduct review meetings on fortnight basis so that the project is completed within stipulated time.
