Government is committed to provide better road network : Kavinder Gupta

Speaker Jammu & Kashmir Legislative Assembly, Kavinder Gupta inaugurated the road upgradation work to be executed by  PWD with an estimated cost of Rs 1.10 crore from Shamshan Ghat Chowk to Splash Showroom in Channi Himmat. The Speaker was accompanied by the officers of PWD (R&B) and JMC besides prominent citizens of the area.While speaking on the occasion, Speaker reiterated that the state government has taken up several projects to improve road network in all parts of the state which holds the key to socio economic development of the areas. Kavinder directed the concerned officers to ensure effective implementation of the programs being run by the Government. He also stressed upon them for timely completion of the work so that better amenities are provided to the people . Earlier, Speaker also inaugurated construction of lane and drain at Sanjay Nagar, Ward no. 46 sector 4. The work is being executed by Jammu Municipal Corporation at an estimated cost about 5.5 lakh. People of the area putforth various demands which includes regularization of the colony, construction of drains in the area etc.Speaker assured the people that their genuine demands would be redressed at the earliest.
