R.K Bhagat reviews functioning of Animal, Sheep Husbandry deptt

Secretary Animal, Sheep Husbandry Department, R.K Bhagat, today asked the officers to gear up for achieving targets fixed by the Department.The Secretary was speaking at a review meeting of Department here which was attended by Director Animal Husbandry Kashmir, Dr. M.Y Chaproo, and other district level officers of Kashmir division.On the occasion, Mr. Bhagat took a detailed review of developmental work of the Department including targets and achievements with regard to vaccination of cattle, poultry, sheep and goats during the last two years. He also sought detailed status report regarding the establishment of district-wise Mini Sheep Farms and ongoing works taken under NABARD and ESVHD schemes.Targets and achievements with regard to Artificial Insemination conducted and birth recorded during last two years were also discussed in the meeting.While highlighting the role of the Department in contributing to the economy of the State, Mr. Bhagat stressed upon the officers to employ all the resources in making the Department a flagship Department for contribution towards the State exchequer.He also directed the officers to conduct field tours to take stock of the situation regarding the implementation of various programmes of the Department.
