‘PDP’s ‘Inkpot’ filled with Kashmir blood’

Opposition National Conference leaders and activists Wednesday staged an anti-Government protest demanding immediate ban on the use of pellets and release of arrested youth under draconian Public Safety Act. The protest march that was led by party General Secretary Ali Muhammad Sagar started from Nawa-i-Subh headquarters up to the highly fortified residence of Chief Minister at Gupkar here.The National Conference activists repeated slogans which were crafted by noted resistance leader, Sarjan Barkati – who has been arrested and booked under draconian Public Safety Act (PSA).“Pellet, Bullet, Na Bhai Nai,’ hundreds of National Conference workers marched towards the Fairview residence of Muftis.Taking a dig at ruling coalition partner, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Sagar said, “all the promises of PDP have proved hoax.”“This party has filled its party symbol – Inkpot – with the blood of Kashmiris,” he said.

Seeking immediate halt to arbitrary arrests and ransacking across Kashmir, Sagar said, “this party is responsible for the innocent killings across Kashir.”Referring to the ‘murder’ of 12-year-old Junaid Akhoon of Saidapora, Mubarak Gul said, “it is ironic that the so-called government has said that he was throwing stones. If it was so, why was he hit by pellets in his back?”Chief Minister Ms Mehbooba Mufti reportedly said that she will investigate as Junaid was killed.The NC veteran vouched for political solution to Kashmir Issue.Holding placards, National Conference batted for dialogue and termed the action against twelve government employees as “political vengence”. The NC fully supported demand of students that the examination for tenth and twelfth classes should not be held in November. “Postpone the examination,” they said.Others who participated in the protest march included Nasir Aslam, Mubarak Gul, Mustafa Kamal, Sakina Ittoo and others.
