Presses for completion of JK road projects

Deputy Chief Minister, Dr. Nirmal Singh today met Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways and Shipping, Nitin Gadkari and pressed for the completion of pending projects in the State; including the alignment of Delhi-Amritsar-Katra highway project.Apart from Express Highway, the Nashri-Chennani tunnel project was discussed in which the Union Minster assured all the possible support from the Centre.“I have been assured that the Nashri-Chennani tunnel project will be completed soon and Prime Minister and the Union Transport Minister will inaugurate the project,” he said.Dr Singh said that Baderwah-Chambar inter-state road connectivity would also be improved with the support of the Center. “During the meeting the status of the Zojila tunnel project was also discussed,” he said.The Deputy Chief Minister further impressed upon the Union Minister over accelerating the process of funding pattern under Central Road Fund (CRF).
